Psychology is the study of human behaviour and mental processes. Psychologists study humans from a variety of perspectives, seeking knowledge about how we perceive, think, remember, decide, feel, act, create and relate to the physical world around us.
Psychology has four main goals:

• To describe behaviour.
• To explain why certain behaviours and processes occur.
• To predict future events.
• To change behaviours and mental processes.

A psychology department has been established at our Hospital. It came about due to growing knowledge of the link between the body and the mind.Most people are familiar with the following definition of health:

"A state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity."

Therapy or counseling often deals with issues which are inhibiting an individual's ability to function in a certain aspect of their life.The therapeutic services offered by the department of psychology are not simply to relieve the symptoms of emotional and psychological problems presented by the clients, but they are also after minimizing the recurrence or at the very least manage the recurring symptoms more effectively in the future.
